"The Theater": For those of you who have been playing music a while, you may be focusing on new areas such as improving technique or branching off into new styles. You may also be thinking about college or career choices. Well, we know that only you can make important life decisions for yourself! But we may be able to provide some general information based on some of the discussions that have taken place in our store with talented students and professional artists that we know.
Private teachers: For students at the intermediate or advanced levels, finding a skillful private teacher can be a rewarding relationship. Personality styles and teaching styles vary, so you'll want to search for someone who can offer encouragement and insight that is a good match for you.
Practice sessions: By now, you have probably found your own comfort zones for when, where, how, (and why) to practice. There may be something new you can learn from reading our helpful suggestions.
Become a "doubler": There's something else to consider if you are becoming proficient on your instrument and you enjoy spending time practicing. Perhaps there is another instrument, that the director might have available and waiting for someone to play.
