Kirsten Edkins recieved her BA in Jazz and Contemporary Media from the Eastman
School of Music (Rochester, NY). She has had the opportunity to study with
accomplished musicians such as Bob Sheppard, Walt Weiskopf, Ray Ricker and
Harold Danko.
As a performer, Kirsten has played with artists such as Dave Liebman, Clark
Terry, Barry Harris, Bob Brookmeyer, Gary Foster, the Temptations and the New
York Voices. She is currently leading her own quartet, which performs in
Southern California.
As an educator, she has taught at music camps, such as the Birch Creek Jazz
Camp (Egg Harbor, WI). Currently, she is a private instructor and music coach
for schools in Orange County.
