Arrowbear Music Camp

Arrowbear Music Camp is located in the San Bernardino Mountains, where all campers are involved in musical and social experiences encouraging beautiful music, great friends, and timeless memories.

Artisti Summer Camp

I Artisti Summer Music Camp, in partnership with the Biola Conservatory of Music, offers a variety of activities that encourage students age 10-18. I ARTISTI educational program provides high-level orchestral training for young musicians under the guidance of professional teachers.

The students participate in full rehearsals and concert series. All the events take place in Crowell Hall located on the beautiful campus of Biola University in La Mirada, CA. Berklee in LA Summer Performance Program

The Berklee in LA Summer Performance Program is open to high school and college instrumentalists/vocalists, with a minimum age of 15 years old.  This summer program is held on the campus of Claremont McKenna College. Summer Workshops 2007

The CCA Summer Workshops are located on the beautiful campus of Chapman University in Orange, CA.  A one week intensive program from August 3-9, 2008 for Flute (two workshops - "youth" and "adult amateur"), Violin, Cello, Guitar, Piano and Jazz Improvisation (Beginning and Advanced!) will feature Master Classes, Chamber Music and nightly concerts with faculty and student participation. Apply now - enrollment is limited!

California Leadership Academy

Summer workshops of the CLA are held on the campus of Chapman University, and offer a three day curriculum in band leadership training for student leaders. Dates for 2007 are: Camp 2- July 6-8; Camp 3- July 13-15; Camp 4- July 20-22.

Colburn School of Performing Arts

Colburn SPA originally started in 1950 as the USC school of Music Prep. Division.  In 1980, the school became independent and now offers year- round instruction in a new, especially designed facility near the Los Angeles Music Center.  Colburn School of PA combines an open enrollment with a conservatory breadth of teaching and level of teaching. GRAMMY Foundation Second Annual GRAMMY Camp

The GRAMMY Foundation is an extraordinary 17-day interactive experience held at the Citrus College Entertainment Technology Complex in Glendora, Calif., and other venues throughout Los Angeles. There is a highly competitive selection process and all musicians have been selected for the summer 2007 session. Idyllwild Arts

Idyllwild Arts, formerly known as Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts, ISOMATA, offers a wide range of music, arts and camping experiences.

The Jazz Workshop is open to students finishing grade 7 and beyond.  This two week course includes big bands, combos, music theory, arranging, improvising and master classes.  The staff includes many performing and recording artists.

Orange County Lutheran Youth Band Summer Camp

OCLYB is a 3 week daily camp program that runs from 8:00am - 3pm.  It is open to band and color guard. The camp is held at St. Paul's Lutheran in Orange.  For more information, please email oclyb@aol.com.

Northern California Flute Camp - Web Site

NCFC is a one-week, intensive program, designed to educate and inspire you flutists in flute performance.  Located in beautiful Carmel Valley, NCFC is open to serious flute students ages 12-18.  Ensemble and solo performance, master class and individual coaching are offered.  You can visit their site by going to flutecamp.com

Pacific Music Camp

Pacific Music Camp is a one-week intense musical experience located at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA. Daily activities include concert band, jazz ensemble, orchestra, along with master classes, sectionals, social time and exciting special events. Each week concludes with concerts in the 1000 seat concert hall for family and friends.

Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra

Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra is not a summer program, but nevertheless a program that Orange County residents will want to know about.  This is the only youth orchestra in Southern California that is affiliated with a professional symphony orchestra.  For audition or concert information, visit their site at www.psyo.org

Saddleback College Summer Jazz Camp

Spend a week with the nationally recognized jazz faculty at Saddleback College Summer Jazz Camp. The camp is open to High School and select Middle School students. Each day includes a master class specializing in techniques specific to your instrument. In addition, jam sessions, faculty concerts, classes in Jazz theory, aural skills and private lessons will be offered. 

The cost for the week of June 23-27, 2008 is $225 with early bird registration of $200 by May 16th.  Camp runs 9am - 5pm daily.  For more information, contact Joey Sellers at jsellers@saddleback.edu.

Youth Music Outreach
Westmont College Summer Music Camp

Youth Music Outreach is pleased to partner with Westmont College for its 2007 Summer music camp. This is a two week residential camp July 9 - 21, 2007 for intermediate and advanced musicians ages 12 - 18.  Registration begins April 1.  Auditions take place May 12 -May 19.  Scholarships may be available. Wildwood Intermediate Music Institute
Summer Camps
