Traditional practice mutes do a very good job of keeping your horn quiet while you play. After all, that's the whole point of a practice mute - make it as quiet as possible so as not to disturb other people - but the problem is you can't hear YOURSELF play either!
Silent Brass solves this problem by adding a small microphone inside the mute which sends your sound through a receiver unit and into a pair of headphones. To the oustside world there's barely any sound, but you the player can hear yourself at full volume!
