ABI - HISTORIC OVERVIEW
OVER 25 YEARS IN ORANGE COUNTY

Owners David and Diane Browne founded ABI in 1982 as a "mom and pop" music store. Even today, they remain actively involved in the day to day operations of the business. In 2005, Music Inc. magazine named Anaheim Band Instruments #1 in North America for the category of Education.

Throughout this 28 year history in Orange County, ABI has earned a reputation as a leader, specializing in the traditional brass and woodwind instruments, so often under-serviced in full-line (guitar and amp) music stores. 

People who want expert service in this specialty niche come from all over Southern California to ABI on a regular basis.  Private instructors often accompany their students to ABI to help select just the right instrument for them. National and international travelers shop at ABI while on holiday in the area.

The staff is made up of seasoned veterans, musicians and teachers, each an expert in his or her own specialty. ABI's staff, the company's greatest asset, is trained with the technical knowledge and ability to meet customer's needs.

ABI's history is rich in hosting educational clinics, serving as official repair station at festivals and regional competitions, and involvment through music advocacy.  In 1994, ABI went online with its website presence as a resource and conduit for the existing customer base. The fact that so many new customers also find their way to ABI is an added blessing!
